ABOUT

Erin Meister (just “Meister” to practically everyone) is a New Yorker by way of her native New Jersey and a stint in Boston.

For more than a decade she’s lived a double life as a coffee professional and a published writer and journalist; her dozen years in the coffee industry have included a long tenure at Joe, and she is currently on the customer-support team for the wholesale specialty-coffee roaster Counter Culture. As a writer and editor, she has contributed work to The Boston Globe, The Washington Post, Time Out NY, BUST, Slashfood.com, Barista Magazine, and Serious Eats, among others.

She is also a collector of homemade vintage dresses, an audacious home cook, a 4:10:31 marathoner, a wife, a devoted library patron, and the best buddy of a weird little rescue dog named Lola. Meister’s favorite color is green, her favorite word is “soup,” and her favorite writer is Truman Capote.
